Town of Samobor – a picturesque medieval town with well-preserved townscape and long tourist tradition settled on the eastern slopes of Samobor Highlands and only a few kilometres from the Croatian-Slovenian border. A stroll through the Baroque centre settles an impressive image of history. Many famous Croatian poets and painters, sculptors and composers had fallen in love with this town.
Samobor’s gastronomy – the region around the Holiday Home Wixa gained the reputation of an important gastronomic destination in Croatia. This was contributed by local people who were able to strike a balance between traditional and innovative cuisine. Almost there are no tourists and visitors to Samobor who did not taste a legendary cream cake “kremsnita”, asked for “češnjovka” sausage and mustard or drank a famous bermet. These products are an unavoidable part of Samobor's gastronomy.

Samobor Mustard is characterized by a sweet and spicy taste and strong smell. These products are an unavoidable part of Samobor's gastronomy. There is a possibility to arrange a tasting of these products in the Filipec Cellar, as well as their wines Sivi Pinot (Gray Pinot), Rose Tia and Cuvee Roko (Cabernet Sauvignon, Black Pinot, Frankovka and Zweigelt).
