• Plitvice Lakes National Park - main Park entrance 1 is 12 km from Jelov Klanac. Plitvice is one of the oldest national parks in Southeast Europe and the largest in Croatia. It is located between the Mala Kapela and Plješevica mountains and is accessible via the national route D1 Zagreb-Split. The national park was founded in 1949 and listed on the UNESCO list of World Natural Heritage Sites in 1979. Plitvice Lakes is one of the most stunning natural attractions in Europe.

• Barac's Caves  (village Nova Kršlja) are located about 6 km east of Rakovica and 13 km from Ranch Jelov Klanac. There are three linked cave systems: Lower, Upper and New Barac's Caves. Only Upper Barac’s Cave, with its length of 520 metres, is open to visitors. The limestone rocks hide numerous stalactites and stalagmites. The caves are also a treasure trove of archaeological items, such as stone axes, bracelets from the 7th century B.C., and more. The guided tours into the caves are available in Croatian, English, German or Italian. The duration of the tour is about 45-60 minutes.

• Ethno village Rastoke, located 22 km from Jelov Klanac towards Zagreb, is a charming and picturesque village of watermills nicknamed „Little Plitvice“. This village is an excellent introduction to the Plitvice Lakes waterfall rhapsody. Rastoke was built more than 300 years ago on the Slunjcica River, which creates multiple small lakes and waterfalls as it flows over a series of travertine barriers. The village is an outstanding example of how human technical achievements can be in harmony with fantastic natural creations. Due to this architectural, historical and natural harmony and ethnographic heritage, Rastoke was declared a national cultural monument in 1969.

• The Canyon of the River Korana is a unique wild river landscape. The river Korana arises as a continuation of the National Park Plitvice Lakes and has a total length of 134,2 km. In the canyon of the upper flow, the Korana River hides an abundance of waterfalls. On many parts, the river flows through impressive, calcareous canyons of 100 m high. These canyons are overgrown with beech forests and have barren rocks in some parts. The upper flow also has many caves, and the most distinct one is the system of Matešićeva Cave-Popovačka Cave, with a length of 1.246 metres.

• Ethno Village Korana - the peaceful and rromantic  village of Korana is located at the doorstep of Plitvice Lakes, 1 km from the main park entrance No. 1. The Ethno Village Korana is adorned with traditional houses built on both sides of the Korana River, which flows through, creating small and charming waterfalls. The historical heritage of Korana offers a mill, sawmills powered by water and a promenade along the river for a short sightseeing tour. During summer, you can also enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the river.

Horse-riding tours in the region of Plitvice.

Cycling tours in the Plitvice Lakes region - there are around 60 km of well-maintained and marked bike trails for exploring the Plitvice region. Depending on your preferences and physical fitness, you can choose from eight cycling routes, from easy to more demanding. To help you navigate the trails, you can get a map with trail descriptions and terrain slopes at the Tourist office of Rakovica.

Walking – educational trail 'Mlinica' is 2.2. km long and starts from the campsite in the village Čatrnja (6 km before Plitvice entrance No. 1) along the canyon of the Korana River to the Old town Drežnik (historical fort placed on a cliff overlooking a steep canyon of the river Korana). The trail is on flat terrain and, therefore, ideal for a leisurely walk in the beautiful scenery. It will take you to the watermill, where you can see an exhibition of tools and items used in the area of Rakovica in the past.

Rafting down the canyon of the River Korana – passing through the fast sections of the Korana River, in the length of 10-15 km,  with over thirty waterfalls. For the true adventurers who need more adrenalin, we can organize the more extreme route: Rastoke – where yearly takes place the international rafting competition for professionals - EURO CUP race "RASTRAFT". Feel the forces of nature in an adrenaline-pumping rafting experience.

Driving a Quad - Driving off-road is an adventure and great fun for a whole family.

Fishing in the rivers Korana, Slunjčica (it springs 5 km south of Slunj), and Mrežnica (springs 10 km west from Slunj). An obligated daily fishing permit is valid for all the mentioned rivers. You can purchase it on the spot.

Climbing up on the rocks at the climbing spot Gajina pećina (cave) is an exciting activity. It is an attractive location next to Plitvice Lakes, 12 km from Jelov Klanac. By taking the easy-to-intermediate level via Ferrata climbing route, you can reach the summit and enjoy a spectacular view of the summit.
