You will find the Juvanija Farmhouse only 100 m after entering the Logar Valley, surrounded by meadows, forests and high peaks of the Savinja Alps.

The source of the Savinja River and the Rastovčki Waterfall is located nearby (a five-ten-minute walk away). A little longer walk takes you to another attraction - the Rinka Waterfall, the second-highest waterfall in Slovenia.

The Landscape Park Logarska Valley stretches over an area of 24,38 km2, and there are no settlements, only 35 residents.

1. Exploring Logarska Valley - one of the most beautiful European Alpine valleys. Located in the heart of the Kamnik - Savinja Alps, the Logar Valley Landscape Park is beautiful in every season. There is an entrance fee for all motor vehicles driving into Logarska Valley (passenger car 7€, van 8€, bus 25€, motorcycle 5€); however, coming on foot or by bike is free of charge. There is also an info point in the valley (next to the Plesnik hotel), where you can get further information and borrow electric bikes.

2. Discovering the second source of the Savinja River - Spring of Črna, which is a five-minute walk from Juvanija. It is located at an altitude of 767 meters. The first source of the Savinja is located above the waterfall Rinka at an altitude of 1,380 meters.

3. A little longer walk takes you to the popular Rinka Waterfall - a 'star' of the Logarska Valley and one of the most beautiful and famous waterfalls in Slovenia. With 105 meters, it is the second-highest waterfall in Slovenia. There is an inn Orlovo Gnezdo (English: Eagle's Nest), embedded in the rock, right by the waterfall.

4. The Rastovački Waterfall is located nearby the house Juvanija. The access is suitable for everyone. Walk across a meadow by a wooden fence. Once you come into a forest, turn a bit to the left, cross a wider forest path, and you will come underneath the cute waterfall.

5. Winter activities: a ski lift beside the Farm Stay Juvanija, a Nordic running trail and a sled run.

The hiking trail through the Logar Valley

Around 1km after the spot where you pay the entrance fee, you will see wooden boards for the trail: Pot po Logarski dolini (The Logarska Valley Trail) on your right. The total trail length is 7km, and it takes about 2–3 hours to walk (one way) to Rinka Waterfall, where it ends. You can join the trail anywhere along the valley. The easy walk leads past some natural and ethnographic sights of the Logarska Valley. In the middle section of the trail, you will pass by the Fairytale Forest. A short section of the hiking trail by the Mountaineers’ Hut is also wheelchair-friendly. You can explore The Logarska Valley Trail by yourself or hire a guide to discover more about the Logarska Valley and listen to interesting stories about the sights.

Hiking trails - The two most visited destinations in the Logarska Valley:

1. The Mountain Hut Frischauf on Mount Okrešelj is accessible by a trail running past Rinka Falls. The hiking trail: 2,5h, easy difficulty level.
2. The mountain hut on Klemenča Jama (cave), from which there is a wonderful view of the upper part of the Logar Valley. The hiking trail: 2h, easy difficulty level.

Other recommended hiking trails are:

„Strelovec Trail“ (5h, intermediate);

„Kamniško Sedlo Trail“ (“ (5h, intermediate) and

„Logar Valley – Jezersko Trail“ (7h, intermediate).

Cycling routes in the Logarska Valley

Family cycling route: on a bicycle tour with the whole family along the main road from the entrance to the Rinka Waterfall -  you will find silence and recovery. At the same time, you can enjoy the fantastic panorama.  The trail length is 14 km, duration 30min, terrain: asphalt road, forest and grass dirt bike paths, easy difficulty level.

Other recommended biking routes are:

„Solčava panoramic road”: length: 25 km, duration: 2h, terrain: 11km asphalt road, 14km macadam path, difficulty: moderate, occasionally challenging, long ascent (gradientofca. 10%) and milder descent.

“In the middle of Olševa”: length: 23 km, duration: 2h, terrain: 2km asphalt road, rest macadam path, difficulty: challenging because of long ascents (gradient of ca. 10% - 14%).
