8:00 AM - Meeting point in Sarajevo City

The meeting point for the day-trip to the Sutjeska National Park is behind a tram station, at Pigeon square (Bascarsija) at 8:00 AM. Behind the tram station, there is a small white fountain and next to it is a taxi stand, where our vehicle will wait for you.

Arrival in Sutjeska National Park

10:00 AM - Arrival in Sutjeska National Park

After an exciting two-hour drive from Sarajevo, we enter the National Park Sutjeska and arrive at the 1.200 meters deep canyon of Sutjeska River. During this trip, we will go up towards Dragoš Saddle (Dragoš Sedlo), the viewpoint at 1.306m overlooking the main waterfall at the locality - the Skakavac waterfall deep in Perućica’s valley. We will walk around the thick primeval forest Perućica that hides some of endemic and rare species. From here we are hiking on to Prijevor - the mountain plateau at 1.668 meters above sea level, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the National Park Sutjeska. Great place to take a picture of the mountains Maglic, Zelengora and Volujak which will tower around us.

Glacier Lake Trnovacko

4:30 PM - Glacier Lake Trnovacko

At the edge of the primeval forest Perućica, we descend towards the Glacier Lake Trnovacko in Montenegro, which is set at 1.500 meters surrounded by impressive mountain peaks of Maglić, Bioč, and Volujak. Trnovačko Lake is just over an hour and a half walk away from Prijevor plateau. Depending on the weather, there is a possibility of swimming (only for the very fit). A lake is an ideal place for having lunch, relax and enjoy the serenity of the Bosnian mountains.
