Mreznica River and 93 stunning waterfalls

The Mreznica River in Inland Croatia is popular among nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts because of its 93 waterfalls! This crystal clear river in Central Croatia, with rich flora and fauna, is ideal for swimming, kayaking or rafting through its great canyon with cliffs, natural whirlpools, waterfalls and short walkings over to small river islands. It offers also several stops for jumping from high cliffs.

The most exciting on the Mreznica River is its canyon with cliffs and 8 meters high "Milkovic" waterfall which simply takes your breath away. This is the second-highest waterfall on the Mreznica and the only waterfall that cannot be passed by raft, but it requires a short walk around it. 

There are two rafting sections on the river:

1. The UPPER section of Mreznica consists of several waterfalls with heights of up to 8 m. The rafting trip has also elements of canyoning (natural waterslides, showering under waterfalls, jumping from high cliffs, and walking through the canyon). The waterfalls can be crossed with a natural waterslide, jumping from the cliff, or walking around the cascade while the skipper throws the rafts down. This trip provides many opportunities to enjoy the canyon.
  • Difficulty levels II and III.
  • Duration: 3 hours.
  • Min. persons per boat: 4

PRICE: 50 € per person

2. The LOWER section of the river Mreznica is relatively easy, and a perfect choice for the first white water rafting experience and families with children.

  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Min. persons per boat: 4

PRICE: 40 € per person

The prices include VAT, equipment, skipper and insurance.

If the group has less than 4 persons, and the client wants the trip to be held anyway, the price of the trip increases by 20% per person.

LICENSED RAFTING GUIDES are experienced skippers, who have an excellent knowledge of techniques and tactics for riding wild waters. They are ready to guide complete beginners, as well as those more experienced. These trips don't require previous rafting/kayaking experience.

EQUIPMENT: helmet, life jacket, paddle, one waterproof container per boat for personal items, plus long neoprene suit & rain jacket in case of cold weather. 

The best time for rafting on Mreznica is in spring and fall when the river has the highest water level. In summer the river is ideal for kayaking/canoeing.

*NOTES: the kayaking boats will be used in case of lower water levels.
