Country Estate Didin Konak

Idyllic country estate next to the Kopački rit

Only 100 metres from Kopački rit Nature Park, at the very heart of Baranja, in a small fishing village Kopačevo, there lies the idyllic Country Estate Didin Konak. The property is situated just 100 meters from the main promenade of Kopački rit.

The comfortable apartments with breakfast service and crackling stove-fires during colder days are actually separate small houses with its own entrance and terrace. There is a possibility to book also half board or full board.

The traditional country estate has a large and beautiful inner courtyard. It contains a well-tended garden with a paved pathway as well as a covered storage space for cycles. There are also well-known in-house restaurant and wine cellar full of the best labels from the local area and where a tasting of the estate's wines takes place.

In the evening the whole property provides a perfect unconstrained atmosphere when the old-style street lamps  along the pathway through the inner courtyard are turned on.

Baranja region has always been known for its abundance of well-prepared food. If you like to enjoy the pleasures of amazingly rich and tasty cuisine, you have to try the owner’s local cuisine based on fish and traditional specialities, all accompanied by excellent wines.

The cuisine of Didin Konak focuses on regional produce from own greenhouse and local farmers. A genuine treat for every palate is the original “Fish Paprikash” (fish kettle-goulash) spiced with the well-known ground paprika from Kopačevo, as well as “The Carp on Wooden Fork” baked over a campfire, a speciality of the area.
