Every July, visitors from around the world gather in Bled for Bled Days & Taste Bled, a vibrant festival filled with authentic Slovenian traditions, local creativity, and lively lakeside experiences. You can watch local artists and craftspeople at work and listen to concerts along the lake promenade.
The highlight of the festival is the spectacular 'Lights on the Lake' (Luči na jezeru) display, on July 25th, when the Lake Bled lights up with 10,000 illuminated eggshells launched into the water. The eggshell lights are handmade by local craftsman Andrej Vidić, who continues the tradition started by his father in 1972.
Local partners in Bled will showcase their food under the Taste Bled brand. Their creative menus are inspired by the area’s rich culinary traditions. Every day, visitors will have the opportunity to taste traditional, local specialities prepared from fresh, seasonal ingredients and presented in a "street food" culture, providing an authentic Slovenian gourmet experience.
